09 – 18 AUG 2019. Falmouth Week has grown into one of the most prominent sailing regattas in the South West, with yachts from many classes racing over eight days along with a lively programme of shoreside events.

Saturday 10th August – Comic and Movie Fest + Falmouth Carnival

Sunday 11th August – The Wurzals hog roast and cider night

Monday 12th August – Falmouth Rocks! – rock with Wrong Jovi, Guns 2 Roses and AC/DC UK

Wednesday 14th August – Falmouth Week Air Show – not one, not two but THREE aerobatic display teams will be flying into Falmouth for a brand new air show! The Falmouth Week Air Show will be an hour of breathtaking stunts and exhilarating manoeuvres featuring The Blades, AeroSuperBatics WingWalkers and Strikemaster Pair.

Thursday 14th August – SKA night! Featuring the Dualers and Rudis message

Friday 15th August – Science in the Square Be a scientist for the day! Science in the Square returns to Events Square on Friday 16th August between 12pm – 4pm. Join in interactive sessions with scientits from the University of Exeter’s Penryn Campus. Challenge our experts with your questions and explore nature’s ‘Hiddens Worlds’ at this fun FREE event!

80’s vs 90’s Extravaganza! 

With S Club 3 and a 80’s DJ set from Martin Kemp with more acts to be announced.

Saturday 16th August – The Bohemians! Welcoming back The Bohemians to Events Square! This epic Queen tribute act always bring down the house with their high energy show full of your favourite Queen anthems.

 

Sunday 17th August – Jethro and the Oggymen – Bringing Falmouth Week to a close with the final night of shoreside entertainment, local legends Jethro and The Oggymen! You don’t want to miss this spectacular Cornish show filled with comedy, shanties and plenty of laughs!

Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival 2019

 

The Falmouth Sea Shanty festival is a true highlight of the year; with 3 days of music, entertainment food and festivities from hundreds of Shanty singing groups. Singers from Cornwall, the British Isles,France, Spain, Netherlands and more are hosted at multiple indoor and outdoor venues throughout the town.

Yachtsmans rest enjoys spectacular views across the harbour overlooking the main stage on Events square. Staying here you are literally right in the heart of the action and also being less than 3 minute walk from the  train station it makes it the perfect short break to ditch the car and truly get into the festivities with a pint of cider or 2. The Apartment is a perfect base to enjoy the festivities over the 3 day festival and because of the patio doors you need not even leave the apartment simply choosing to open the doors wide and enjoy the singing from the comfort of the open plan living room.

Walking through the town you will be come across scores of groups singing on the street, in the pubs, on the corners, outside shops and on the many stages.

Starting at Greenbank with the stage on the pier, the entertainment carries all through town with Events Square hosting the main acts and food stalls.

Highlights were the Friday night headliners at the chainlocker stage, soaking up the atmosphere with friends and a cider or 2.
