Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival 2019

The Falmouth Sea Shanty festival is a true highlight of the year; with 3 days of music, entertainment food and festivities from hundreds of Shanty singing groups. Singers from Cornwall, the British Isles,France, Spain, Netherlands and more are hosted at multiple indoor and outdoor venues throughout the town.

Yachtsmans rest enjoys spectacular views across the harbour overlooking the main stage on Events square. Staying here you are literally right in the heart of the action and also being less than 3 minute walk from the  train station it makes it the perfect short break to ditch the car and truly get into the festivities with a pint of cider or 2. The Apartment is a perfect base to enjoy the festivities over the 3 day festival and because of the patio doors you need not even leave the apartment simply choosing to open the doors wide and enjoy the singing from the comfort of the open plan living room.

Walking through the town you will be come across scores of groups singing on the street, in the pubs, on the corners, outside shops and on the many stages.

Starting at Greenbank with the stage on the pier, the entertainment carries all through town with Events Square hosting the main acts and food stalls.

Highlights were the Friday night headliners at the chainlocker stage, soaking up the atmosphere with friends and a cider or 2.
